Meet The People Shaping
The Future Of Zero Emission Design
From national leaders to international experts, ZEB Summit brings together 50+ speakers across retrofit, performance, embodied carbon and real-world delivery, sharing what works, what doesn’t, and what’s next.
The Ice Box Challenge
For the first time, the internationally recognised Ice Box Challenge is coming to Ireland, landing in Dublin as part of ZEB Summit. Previously hosted in cities like Brussels, Vancouver and New York, it has proven its impact around the world. Two identical clear boxes each hold a large block of ice. One is built to a high performance, zero emission standard and the other is built to a conventional standard. Placed side by side outdoors, it shows in a very real way how much the building fabric matters, and how performance can be seen, not just claimed.
The ZEBIE Awards recognise projects that prove performance — not just promise it. Every category is grounded in building science and judged using measured outcomes and third-party verified data, from airtightness and thermal integrity to whole-life carbon, comfort and operational energy use.
Connect with the people building circular solutions
Building for a circular economy requires designing for reuse, recovery, and regeneration from day one, and applying the same thinking to retrofit through holistic renovation planning that enables deep renovation

The Science Of Zero Emission Design
Hear From Past Visitors
“I am delighted to be here today at the ZEB Summit. Sustainable building matters now more than ever, and the need for us to move quickly and decisively to implement robust, evidence-based approaches to low-energy, healthy, low-environmental-impact buildings is paramount. It’s wonderful to see events like this, where the quality of knowledge and the networking have been so positive. There’s a lot of accumulated expertise here, and the knowledge-sharing will help move us away from snake oil towards solutions that actually work and stand a chance of delivering the results we need.”

“This has been a really awesome experience. It’s my first time in Ireland and my first time at the ZEB Summit. We came to learn more about the upskilling we need in our own area to deal with code changes involving airtightness testing. I have a whole shopping bag of samples that I’ll be taking home to share with my colleagues and fellow tradespeople. I’ve learned so much just by walking around and speaking with suppliers, especially about heating and cooling systems and air barrier materials that we don’t typically use back home. It’s really exciting to see what’s already being done in typical construction that we can absolutely adopt in the United States. This has been great. Thank you for having me.”

“It has been a great pleasure to be here at ZEB25. I found it truly inspirational, so thank you. There is a lot of practical knowledge to be gained, and it’s definitely worth coming along to hear the talks, visit the stands, and get to know the products that are instrumental in delivering high-quality Passive House buildings. I really do think this is an excellent event for any architect who is interested in low-carbon buildings.”
